Daily job reports and photos

The day on site, written up by 6 PM.

Every job with something on it today gets a draft report at 6 PM: crew hours, what got done, quantities, materials, photos, delays and the weather at the job. AI writes the summary from those facts; you read it, fix anything, and approve.

  • On every plan, Starter included
  • Written from what happened
  • You approve every report

Daily reports

Nobody writes it up at the kitchen table.

The facts come from the day's records, not from memory: hours on the clock, the items ticked off, the quantities logged, the receipts and parts, the photos and the delays the crew typed in. The summary is written from those facts and nothing else.

  • Drafted at 6 PM your time for every job with something on it that day
  • The weather at the job that day, and the job pace warning when hours are running ahead of the work
  • Edit the summary, have it rewritten, approve one or approve them all
  • Approved reports are frozen as they were, and kept in the customer file
  • Print the day, or go back to any day

Job photos

Photos that prove when and where.

The crew adds photos from the job's private link, no login needed: before, during or after. Each photo keeps when and where it was taken, so the office can see it was taken at the job.

  • The time and place come from the photo itself, or from the phone when it's taken in the moment and the crew allows its location
  • Distance from the job on every photo, with a flag when one was taken somewhere else
  • A Photos page with every job photo, and captions written for you
  • Customers get daily or weekly photo updates by email, if you turn them on for the job

Photo check

Check the photos before you invoice.

How the crew app works

Before the invoice goes out, AI looks at the job's photos against the checklist and the invoice or estimate, and tells you what the photos show, what they don't, and what's unclear. You decide what to do with it.

  • Catches the item nobody photographed, before the customer asks
  • Nothing is changed or sent on its own

Questions

Who writes the daily report?
BrickByClick puts the facts together at 6 PM: hours on the clock that day, checklist items ticked, quantities, receipts and parts, photos, notes, delays and the weather at the job. AI writes a short summary from those facts. You read it, change anything, and approve it. Approved reports are kept in the customer file as they were.
Which jobs get a report?
Every job with something on it that day: hours, a ticked item, a photo, a receipt, a quantity, a note or a delay. A job nobody touched gets no report.
Does the customer see the daily report?
No. Daily reports are for you and the office. Customers get photo updates instead, daily or weekly, if you turn them on for the job.
How do you know where a photo was taken?
From the photo itself when the phone saved its location, or from the phone's location when the photo is taken in the moment and the crew allows it. The office sees how far from the job each photo was taken, with a flag when it was taken somewhere else.
What does the photo check do?
Before you invoice, AI looks at the job's photos against its checklist and the invoice or estimate, and lists what the photos show, what they don't, and what's unclear. It's there to help you decide; it doesn't change anything.
Where does the weather come from?
From Open-Meteo, a free weather service, for the job's location and date. Canadian businesses see °C and km/h, US businesses °F and mph.
Which plans include it?
Every plan, Starter included. See the plans.
